French software publisher.
About.
Since its creation in 2015, AUMERIAL has specialized in the design, publishing, and distribution of computer software.
Led by Laurent Rouillot, founder of the company and IBM i - AS/400 expert since the 1980s, later joined by Rémi Rouillot, CTO of the company, AUMERIAL now designs the best IBM i / .NET communication tools, tailored to the specific needs of our customers and the rapidly changing market.
With a fleet of more than 20,000 IBM machines in France and nearly 500,000 worldwide, we are positioned at the heart of a vast ecosystem where the rapid pace of technological change requires even the most robust and secure systems to continually adapt to new market demands, such as the cloud, artificial intelligence, and microservices.
With this in mind, we developed NTi, our data access solution for IBM i - AS/400 from .NET. The result of six years of research and development, NTi is the outcome of a rigorous analysis of the shortcomings of existing connectors. It represents our vision of a comprehensive toolkit, offering direct access to the entire IBM i environment while maximizing the efficiency and sustainability of existing infrastructures.
An approach and market introduction that is now recognized and approved by IBM, our trusted partner.

I decided to develop the tool needed to make IBM i and .NET work together because the integrated aspect of the latter fits perfectly with the IBM i mindset.
The specification was the result of examining the weak points of all existing modernization solutions. For technical reasons, our first product, LINK2i, was dependent on Windows. With the arrival of NET 6, we were able to remove this dependency and offer very low-level access regardless of the environment.
It deserved a new name: NTi.
It's worth noting that this latest round was carried out by Rémi, our 26-year-old CTO. Just goes to show that the IBM i is not a machine for old-timers.
The IBM i.
Yesterday. Today. And tomorrow?
The IBM i, formerly known as the AS/400 and iSeries, has long been the cornerstone of enterprise systems, renowned for its reliability and security.
However, before recent technological advances, it was often perceived as a closed and rigid system, difficult to integrate with modern technologies.
Difficulties that could be encountered included rather complex data management, user interface constraints, and a certain rigidity that didn't allow ideal adaptation to changing and evolving market requirements. In addition, users sometimes found it difficult to integrate the IBM i with new platforms and programming languages, thus limiting the full potential offered by this formidable machine.

Today, the IBM i has evolved into a more open and versatile system, incorporating significant advances in user interfaces, database management, and network connectivity.
These developments, supported by an active and dynamic community, now enable better integration with web and cloud technologies, while maintaining a high level of security. IBM i thus remains a solid and essential pillar for businesses, combining legendary security with modernized capabilities.
The combination of its traditional reliability and extreme resilience makes it ideal for a wide range of business applications, from ERP systems to web solutions. So today, it's no longer a question of abandoning what has proven itself, but rather of keeping what works, while avoiding the risks and costs associated with completely replacing the system.

Enriching the IBM i ecosystem and making it easily accessible to everyone? It's now possible with our data access provider NTi, which is opening up the platform to a range of modern, multi-platform development tools. This represents a minor revolution in terms of accessibility and interoperability.
By integrating fully with .NET, it breaks free from traditional architecture limitations, facilitating the execution of .NET/IBM i workloads in modern and diverse environments beyond traditional VMs, ensuring significant savings and a notable improvement in TCO.
Accessing IBM i data and programs is easy with NTi. Anyone can learn how to use this platform without any specific skills. This means that developing new business applications, websites, AI-enabled applications, and much more is now within everyone's reach in record time.
