AUMERIAL is a French software publisher, IBM partner, specialized in IBM i (formerly AS/400, iSeries) and .NET technologies.
Founded by Laurent Rouillot, IBM i expert since the 1980s, and Rémi Rouillot, .NET specialist, the company was born from a clear observation: there was no native, lightweight, and .NET-oriented tool allowing to fully and efficiently exploit IBM i resources.
After several years of R&D, this vision took shape with NTi Data Provider : a complete toolbox offering direct, reliable, and sustainable access to the entire IBM i system, while integrating naturally with modern .NET environments.
Now deployed worldwide, the NTi solution enhances our clients’ application assets by preserving the existing and aligning it with today’s and tomorrow’s standards.

I decided to develop the tool needed to make IBM i and .NET work together because the integrated aspect of the latter fits perfectly with the IBM i mindset.
The specification was the result of examining the weak points of all existing modernization solutions. For technical reasons, our first product, LINK2i, was dependent on Windows. With the arrival of .NET Core, we were able to remove this dependency and offer very low-level access regardless of the environment.
It deserved a new name: NTi.
It's worth noting that this latest round was carried out by Rémi, our 26-year-old CTO. Just goes to show that the IBM i is not a machine for old-timers.

The IBM i, formerly known as the AS/400 and iSeries, has long been the cornerstone of enterprise systems, renowned for its reliability and security.
